Welcome to the homepage of Iwai lab. Now I am going to introduce the Iwai laboratory to below for you, the faculty student who has not decided a laboratory of a graduate school yet.
1. Outline of Laboratory This laboratory was launched in April. 1999, and has been researching device system. After engaging in CMOS device development for many years, I came to Tokyo Institute of Technology. Now I research VLSI device , taking advantage of experience in a company. 2. Feature It is my principle to make (as an experiment) and evaluate devices actually by myself, and to seek new discovery. In order not to finish with a desk theory, I'm keeping in mind that we should compare simulation results with actual survey results. That is, in Iwai lab., we are mainly doing experiment. Since corporations lead VLSI device industry, it is not easy to obtain good effects in a university. However, if we can obtain good effects, these will be observed with keen interest in the industrial world. Especially, since research of VLSI device was seldom performed until now at a university in Japan, I think it a big chance to play an active part in this field. Recently, the most advanced data in the world has come out with High-k material, and we also performed an international announcement. 3. Plan of Your Guidance While I am going to teach a clear research object to newcomer's students, regarding motivated students, I respect each student's free way of thinking, advancing researches freely. 4. Society Activity This laboratory has performed 30 or more announcements to a society and a paper magazine in and outside the country this year. To paper list To the latest announcement Reference: Those who want to know still in detail, and those who want to inspect a laboratory --- please contact directly. This laboratory is in J2 building at the Nagatsuta campus.
